Formatting is the process of removing all the data in a disk or other flash drive for onward use.                                                                                                                   The steps of formatting a flash drive are: 
1. Right click on thee flash drive on the hierarchy area and choose format
2. For the format environment, choose the type of format you want either quick or full
 3. Choose any other necessary option
